SkyCall is a psychedelic rock power trio from Grand Est, France. The band reimagines the creative freedom of the 1970s through a contemporary fusion of expressive guitar, organic grooves, strong melodies and improvisation.

A NEW CHAPTER

After the band split up in 2023, Fabrice Duval carried SkyCall forward as a solo project, recording all the instrumental and vocal parts for ten singles he wrote and released between 2024 and 2026. Since summer 2026, SkyCall has been back as a trio with Fabrice, Alain Wittische and Patrick Marcel.

The next LP has not yet been recorded. It will be re-recorded in full by the current trio, with studio sessions planned for the fourth quarter of 2026.

THE BAND

Fabrice Duval — guitar, vocals & songwriting

Alongside a medical career leading a psychiatry department and pioneering research in chronobiology, Fabrice Duval has always pursued music. His musical path has been eclectic: N’Kap Koulou (1984–1987), Tax Free (1990–1999), Absinthe Faubourg (2003–2005), and collaborations with Sébastien Leimacher in Magic Yerba Plaza (2007–2012) and 61 Steps (2015–2016). With Tax Free, he played more than 500 concerts across Europe; the band released the album Flashover in 1998. Magic Yerba Plaza released an album in 2011, and 61 Steps released Solar Storm in 2016.

In 2019, Fabrice founded SkyCall with former Tax Free bassist Luc Erwin and drummer Didier Hoffmann, who was replaced by Amanda S. in 2021. After the group split in 2023, he recorded all instruments and vocals on the ten SkyCall singles released between 2024 and 2026. Since summer 2026, he has reunited with Alain Wittische and Patrick Marcel in the re-formed trio.

Alain Wittische — bass, arrangements

Alain began playing bass by ear at the age of 14. In 2015, he deepened his jazz studies at the Metz regional conservatory and, in 2024, earned a jazz certificate in double bass. He has played more than 2,000 concerts and recorded around twenty albums. From 1989 to 2016, he performed with Joy Fleming in a German blues-rock band, recording eight CDs and touring Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France and Mexico. He also played with the jazz-rock group French Kiss and joined Extensions 4tet in 2019; the group released the fusion album Univers.

His many collaborations include What Up Doc, Jo Sature, Thierry Crusem, Bart Ray, Est’Sète, Sweet Brandy, Swingin Preacher, Awime 4tet and Lady’S’Cath 5tet. From 2006 to 2011, he toured nationally with the school show Un petit brin de paresse by Compagnie du Théâtre d’Est. He has also played in street performance groups including Moby Stick, Zu-Percut and Les Percolatteurs. He now plays bass in SkyCall.

Patrick Marcel — drums, backing vocals

Patrick Marcel has moved across progressive rock, blues, jazz and pop. With Synopsis, he recorded two albums and a 45 rpm single in studios in Nancy and Avignon, appeared on television and radio in France and Luxembourg, and performed across France. He went on to play with Souther Lane, Lorraine Big Band Jazz and Madison Blues, recording a CD at Crazy Sound studio, and joined K.O. with Chris Beya, guitarist with Atoll. His international pop credits include Free Dance, Yonosphere, Michel Princier, Innovation, Guy Amblard and Nevada Groupe.

His other projects include Anna Marchese, with whom he recorded an album in Naples and performed in Germany, Italy and France; the rock bands Falcons and Ticket to Blues; and the French-German group Lady Butterfly, for which he recorded an album, made a music video and performed in Germany. His studio work has taken him to Luxembourg, Avignon, Riom, Paris and Metz. He has taught drums and composed music for a choreography group. He is now SkyCall’s drummer.
